How many times can you flip a canoe in 4 hours on the Little Spokane? The answer for this day was 4 (or maybe it was more). For this magnificent feat, you must have the ultra-narrow model from REI. By the 3rd flip, these two were pros at dealing with water-soaked everything.
A couple miracles occurred in the flipping. 1: Our chips stayed dry. I'm still amazed by this. They were in the water, the papery bag was utterly soaked, and yet, the seal wasn't broken and all was well. 2: I didn't lose my chapstick. Oh, and 3: my camera remained safe in a Ziploc bag. 4: No one got grumpy.
As I mentioned, I lost a flip flop, as did two others. That was half of our group. Each time we stopped for a spell, it was water-dump time.
And yet, it was fun. And somehow, I managed to not get sunburned despite my SPF 15 and time spent in water, potentially washing it off.

Gat damn I'm fly.
I like what I see here. I noticed you are a Ben Folds fan. Me too. I just wrote a piece about Ben Folds and the Australian bogans. I've got some live video footage I'm pretty sure you will dig.
