My original plan for this very special day was to take another "baked goods photo." I wanted to make an amaretto bundt cake. I searched high and low for a grocery store that sold amaretto since liquor stores (or in this case, liqueur stores) are closed on Sundays. Bingo, I found it (thanks to Safeway on Northwest Blvd.), and I made the highly-rated and -esteemed recipe I found on allrecipes.com. But, alas, due to either my never-before-used bundt pan, or my elf oven, or a combination of both, it got a little brown and was rather unattractive. Not at all picture worthy, and goodness knows I wouldn't want any admirer to see that not everything I make turns out. The cake is quite good for breakfast, though.
In any case, I realized I'd never shared my Sunday night scenery with y'all. Here it is - KYRS in all its glory. This is where the lounge happens. Like many radio stations, it's a discombobulated mess of wires, needles, cubby-holes, glass windows, cute and sometimes passive-aggressive notes to help people operate the board, hand-me-downs, and who knows what else.
