Today is my blogiversary!
A year ago today, I made a commitment to keep my camera ("Cannie," as I now affectionately call her) with me at all times. That camera and I have been through a lot, and its scratches and dents and dings are indications of the heck-of-a good time I've had this past year. Or maybe that I should take better care of my stuff.
What I've loved most about having this blog is that I often find myself thinking about what makes my life unique and special, and reminding myself to take photos of it. For so long, the only time I used my camera was on birthdays, large gatherings, late-night silly photo shoots with friends - all of which are great times for the photos, of course - but now that I have so many photos, I'm seeing that all these moments add up to a time in my life. It's the Elizabethan Era, after all! So while I'm tracking my momentary interests and obsessions with my photos, I'm also tracing a path to what adults refer to as "being an adult." I'm not quite there yet - the day that I decide to wear nylons underneath my sandals is the day I truly become an adult, and you better believe I'll be taking a photo of that when it happens.
So stay tuned, ye one and all, there is indeed more to come!
