Grammy-nominated Nnenna Freelon with the Spokane Jazz Orchestra. She moves her arms around a lot when she sings like she's swimming. She was fantastic.

Last night at 6:30 the Whitworth Phonathoners raised our first $25,000. They're champs. As a reward, I made them pose for what I promised them would be the cheesiest picture of all time. I could personally have used more cheese. I think some of them could have, too. We also celebrated with Martinelli's sparkling apple cider and snickerdoodles.

What is an Elizabethan Era? To find out, I shall have my camera with me at all times in hopes to document an entire year of my life by taking/posting one photo per day. I tried this once before in high school before the common use of digital cameras and it turned out to be a weird way of keeping a diary. Stay tuned to the mundane daily postings of my life!
