I'm teaching myself some hand embroidery skills. Knitting seems so warm right now, although I did make a little credit card holder over the weekend which is waaaaaay to cute to hold credit cards. Anyway, I had a gift certificate to the craft store and I thought, "why not try a new hobby."

So I bought some felt, some floss, some needles, and a book and went to town. Here is my first test project. I can't tell you how many dreams and schemes I have for doing embroidery now. I'm enjoying it so far. I think the biggest challenge at this point is doing lettering. So I picked a hot-topic word to get my creative juices flowing, and figured it's okay if "filibuster" looks a little ugly right now.
