A long, long, long time ago, someone created "traditional anniversary gifts." Then, a little while later, someone came along and decided that list was antiquated and created a list of "modern anniversary gifts." I thought about this the other day when I recalled that two of my dearest friends will be celebrating their first anniversary on Sunday. I don't normally celebrate other people's first wedding anniversaries, but after seeing this DIY project in ReadyMade, I couldn't think of a better way to commemorate the last 365 days of Kat and James' marriage, combining the traditional first anniversary gift of paper and the modern gift of a clock. Plus, it involves an LP jacket, and that's just incredibly appropriate.
This is not the actual clock I'm giving them. It was just a test run to see if it really was as easy as ReadyMade made it seem. It is!
