Today marks the first day of the annual ArtFest in Coeur d'Alene Park, right in my own backyard. Well, not really, but just a block and 1/2 from my apartment. Tonight I watched as some hippies set up camp outside my building. They weren't doing anything, really. They just parked their Volvo, got out of the car with their dogs (not on leashes), cranked their music and just sat on the lawn. I don't think their intention was to actually go to ArtFest, but rather to gather near to the artisitic spirits surrounding them...on the lawn. They just left a few minutes ago. They must have gotten what they were looking for.
In the midst of tons of (cool) ceramics, silver jewelry, glassware, woodworking and painting, I found this tent most appealing. And since I will never be able to pay the $1,225 he's asking for, I thought I'd just take a picture to remember it by.
And the best part was that Becky and Kate came down to hang! Kate has an incredible tongue that stuck out like this for about half of the time.
