Whitworth gives us the Friday before Easter off. I suppose some people use this time to reflect on what the weekend holds, culminating on Easter Sunday. But what does this girl do? Crafts and baking, obviously.
I started by going to Martha's website and checked out what she's been up to lately. I don't normally do this, but because I had a lot of time to just explode, craft-wise, I could afford to do things like download templates and copy them in enormous proportions, and go to various stores completely out of the way from each other to gather assorted supplies. I even bought an Exacto knife! I've been meaning to do this for years - I felt like such a phony without one. That, and wire cutters. I have yet to buy those.
So, here you see what I made. Itty bitty baskets made out of paper cups and floral wire, decorated with some stuff and filled with a little solid chocolate bunny and carrot, as well as edible grass that miraculously matched the green tissue paper on the outside.
You can also kind of see the blue and yellow bunny boxes behind the baskets. Those were made to contain assorted cookies I made, i.e., lavendar rosemary shortbread (commonly classified as a snobby or foo-foo cookie, and I agree, but it really is yummy with tea) and chocolate chip cookies (to stay a little more down to earth with the 2% milk drinkers).
Arbitrary photo to prove that the baskets got into their already-covered-in-chocolate hands safely.

So cute. I wish I did more of a variety of crafts! :) And that last picture is great.
