Update on the "garden."

It's all dead. Dead, dead, dead. I'm blaming
1. Spokane for zero sunlight
2. My recent out-of-townness/not enough water

The good news is I'm going to make a second attempt. I had one little sprout of basil, but it withered after a couple days. Then I had 3 little sprouts of rosemary, and both died when I went out of town.

What I've learned:
1. Keep the soil moist.
2. Keep the soil warm until something sprouts, then make sure it has enough light to keep going.
3. Maybe I'm just not cut out for gardening,
4. But I'm determined to keep at it until I have a delicious herb-ridden meal from my very own garden, dang it.

I am also suspicious of these little pete pots. The basil sprouted and died in the pete pot, and the rosemary, which I believe would have survived had I not left town, were planted in plastic containers. Thoughts, anyone?
