The last few times I have spent $3 for a couple sprigs of rosemary or basil in the grocery store I have thought how I just need to have my own herb garden. I've never really had a garden, but I love the idea of one. Some of you may remember my failed Chia last year, however, so I'm a little hesitant about proclaiming my skills. I'm good at keeping things watered, but when it comes to planting seeds, I don't have a good track record. It's kind of like when I was little and got a kitten. I was so excited about her that I would not leave her alone. I was brushing her fur, dangling string in front of her face, trying to coerce her into napping on my lap, etc. She ended up hating me and held a grudge against me until I moved out of the house and went to college. "Sorry for loving you so much!" I wanted to tell her. I think it's the same deal with the seed planting. I keep looking at these little pete pots and wonder if I followed the directions for each herb just right. Is the soil moist enough? Will my south-facing windows provide them with enough light, or is this room too cold for them to grow? Well, I'll just give them a little water each day and then give them a chance to do their thing without worrying about them too much. I'll keep you posted.

Good luck, my dear. I had a few pots in the window of my kitchen, and I didn't take very good care of them. I think in the end, I over-watered them after a few dry days? I don't remember.
