The downtown scene
Those signs behind me and Sara clearly indicate that we got to hang out in downtown Boise one night on my vacation. Idaho Street - the scene of many a Saturday night cruise in our high school days. That night we met up with a bunch of other girls from high school and recounted the tales of our shenanigans - like the time when we followed a truck to let the driver know that he just lost a whole case of Pepsi in the road, and when we spent our senior year passing around a jointly authored story with the most fantastical and nonsensical plot (or maybe no plot at all), and hanging out in Kenny's apartment which was located right above a sandwich shop downtown, and taking turns eating lunch at each other's houses as part of the "Lunch Bunch," etc. I kind of remember a quote I read once that said something to the effect of how nothing is quite as sweet when experienced as it is when remembered. It seemed true that night as we remembered all of those things.
