Rochester Trip, Part Two (the not-so-Rochester part)

Throughout the entire trip, I kept feeling like everything was aligning for us in the best possible way. When I arrived, we didn't think we'd be able to use Chris's car because it was sitting in an auto body shop waiting for a part to arrive, which put a snag in our daytripping plans for the weekend. But on Friday morning, Chris got a call from the shop, the guy said "Surprise, it's ready!" and suddenly plans were back in motion. And on Saturday morning, when we left the Public Market to start our roadtrip, it was sunny and bright, and out of nowhere came a rain shower as we headed toward the car and drove toward the freeway.

No worries, we were just driving. By the time we stopped in Churchville for gas, no more rain. Just look at that squinty expression that says, "Yeah, I am so boss."

A quick shot of Churchville while we're at it:

Niagara Falls is just about an hour and a half away from Rochester. Once you get past the gaudy parts on the outskirts of the park, it's rather lovely.

Just follow this cute little canal and we're almost there.

This is the oldest park in the state of New York, and the falls are a source of power for much of the US.

You can see mist over much of the water anyway, but thar' she falls...

At first I thought it silly to offer a close up view of a waterfall - but oh, silly ME, we can spy on Canada!

Hey Canada! We'll be over there in just a few minutes.

And that, my friends, awaits you in my next post: Toronto, land of a thousand delights, and a little more rain.
