Meanwhile, back in Spokane, it's time again for pickin'. Peaches, that is.

Chris and I boarded the Fruit Loop Express at Walter's Farm not three hours after I returned to town.

 

The key to picking peaches is to find the ones that are just beginning to soften at the top, and then pull straight down.

 

And the hard part is knowing when to quit. Mmmm, yummy.

 

Old Man Walter would be so proud.
