Here's a brief illustration of what happens when you felt your knitting projects. It's pretty cool because the yarn fuses together and gets thick and fuzzy. The top pic is pre-hot-wash, the bottom is after I took it out of the wash to dry. I fashioned a box to hang it on, but it got soggy (why didn't I think of that?), so I ended up just putting it on a regular drying rack about halfway through.
